About Every Moment Holy
The EVERY MOMENT HOLY features new prayers and liturgies for the ordinary events of daily life through books, songs, and live events. Written by Douglas McKelvey and published by Rabbit Room Press, these resources are ways of reminding us that our lives are shot through with sacred purpose even when, especially when, we are too busy or too caught up in our busyness to notice. The work of Every Moment Holy is accented with linocut illustrations by Ned Bustard.
Collectively, Every Moment Holy has sold over 600,000 books across three volumes and seven editions.
Every Moment Holy includes the following bound collections:
New Liturgies for Daily Life (2017): The first book in the series contains prayers such as "A Liturgy for Feasting with Friends" or "A Liturgy for Laundering" or "A Liturgy for the First Hearthfire of the Season." These prayers can be found in hardcover, pocket flexi-cover, and padded hardcover editions.
Death, Grief, and Hope (2021: Features prayers for seasons of dying and grieving—liturgies such as "A Liturgy for the Scattering of Ashes" or "A Liturgy for the Loss of a Spouse" or "A Liturgy for the Wake of a National Tragedy." “Every Moment Holy helps me to seek God’s blessing in everything from starting a new book, to setting up a Christmas tree, to marking a birthday. These prayers also help when words are hard to find—in a night of suffering, or after a house fire, or a friend’s death. It’s filled with biblical wisdom and beautiful writing.”
